(HSCMH August 30, 2013) In a 2-1 vote following a public hearing, Hot Springs County Commissioners voted to place the hospital district on the ballot in a special election on November 5. Current laws and regulations prohibit HSCMH from marketing the district to the public. Several information meetings were offered in June, July and August by HSCMH. A citizens political action committee, without HSCMH assistance, now must lobby for the district. Commissioners Brad Basse and John Lumley voted aye and Mike Baker voted nay. | |||||||||
